During my morning walk the other day, I pondered how important handmade art is to our workforce, productivity and economic stability within the United States.
During the past several decades, we’ve forgotten how proud we were of “Made in America” that was so apparent during the first part of the 20th century. For the sake of speed and instant gratification, we’ve handed over much of our pride in workmanship, and in particular our time-honored skills in finely crafted works of art, to large overseas mass-production facilities.
A desire to contribute to the resurgence of “Handmade” and “Made in America” was the primary and one of the most important reasons for creating Autumn Hill Artworks. Let’s make sure we bring the attention to handmade fine art as an important area in the new administration’s efforts to revitalize the American workforce.
Do you agree that continuing to build upon the industry of American handmade art will enhance our lives, both culturally and economically?

Autumn Hill Artworks is pleased to introduce our blog page! We’re dedicated to bringing awareness of the beauty and importance of handmade fine art. In particular fine art that includes art glass, ceramics, fiber art, handmade jewelry, leather art, lighting, metal art, mixed media, pottery, and wood art - all of which is skillfully handcrafted within New England.
The six New England states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont comprise this unique northeast corner of the United States, with scenic vistas and miles of breathtaking coastline on the Atlantic Ocean, providing plenty of inspiration for our creative and skilled New England fine artisans!
